I was born on December 2, 1991, and grew up in Georgetown, Ontario. I completed my BESc in Mechatronics Systems Engineering in 2015 and a PhD in Biomedical Robotics Engineering in December 2020, at The University of Western Ontario. I have been working over 5 years in the field of wearable mechatronic devices for upper limb neuromuscular rehabilitation with a specific focus on the development and characterization of soft actuators, as well as their feasibility for use in wearable devices. Some of my other areas of interest include: computational fluid dynamics, mechatronics and robotics, and embedded systems. During my time at Western I have served on the Program Operations Committee and the Graduate Student Committee for Biomedical Engineering, and I have been apart of the solar car team (Sunstang), and the robotics club (WE Bots). In my spare time I enjoy recreating, or designing my own Maker projects, which allows me to improve my skills in circuit board development and 3D modelling in order to achieve whatever sparks my interest.
